Odense International Film Festival is Denmark's oldest international film event that will host Iran's The Servant, which has been selected in the competition with 2538 films sent to the festival.
The piece will compete with 103 other films for the prize on August 28 to September 2.
The Servant tells the familiar story of the master and subordinate; a giant cockroach serves to man and after a while, it gets tired of his servitude and disrupts the rules of the game. The man, however, attempts to preserve the current situation but soon realizes that the game has no rules.
The Servant has recently won the Best Animation award at the 33rd Tehran International Short Film Festival and the best short animation award for February at London Independent Film Festival.
